IF YOU THINK HAVING A MID NIGHT SNACK IS BAD, READ THIS AND FIND OUT

Ever wondered if people would always say a mid night snack is bad just to scare you into not having one before bed or when you wake up in the middle of the night? Well i actually did and so I browsed and found out that having a mid night snack actually helps in a lot of ways even more than you ever imagined but you just need to have the right snack.
  • Eat protein before bed for muscle growth. In fact a 2012 Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise study showed that protein consumed before bed promotes muscle growth and repair-key factors in staying fit and healthy.
  • Eat more carbohydrates before bed for hunger control. A 2011 study on obesity and nutrition, metabolism in cardiovascular disease put a group of 53 obese police officers on two different diets: one where carbohydrates were spread evenly throughout the day and the other where the vast majority of carbohydrates consumed were at dinnertime. The results reported that, of the two groups, the one consuming mostly carbs at dinner was actually less hungry over long periods of time.
So, next time you reach for that late-night snack, keep in mind that as long as what you're consuming is generally healthy, it's probably not that bad for you. Eat your heart out; there's no reason to freak out.
